2026 Domestic Tourism Subsidy Quick Operating Guide
2026-08-19

1. Eligibility & Promotion Period

  • Promotion Period: September 1, 2026 to November 30, 2026; the Tourism Administration reserves the right to adjust the period based on budget utilization.

  • Weekday Stay Incentive: Applies to check-ins from Sunday through Thursday in principle; national holidays and consecutive long weekends are excluded.

  • Eligible Guests: Taiwanese citizens and FITs (Free Independent Travelers) staying at participating legal accommodation properties listed on the official campaign website.

  • Verification: Prior to acceptance, hotel operators must verify guest eligibility and remaining subsidy allowance as displayed in the official system.

2. Weekday Stay Subsidy Amount

Item Taiwan Main Island Offshore Islands
First Night Up to NT$ 800 Up to NT$ 1,000
Second Consecutive Night Up to NT$ 1,200 Up to NT$ 1,500
Maximum Total for 2 Nights NT$ 2,000 NT$ 2,500

3. Birthday Voucher

  • Registration & Raffle: The Birthday Voucher requires advance registration and a lucky draw; it is not automatically granted to all birthday celebrants.

  • Quotas: Current official planning selects 1,000 birthday celebrants per month via lucky draw, with each winner receiving a NT$ 1,200 accommodation voucher.

  • Terms: Winners must use the voucher within the designated period according to campaign rules; vouchers are non-transferable.

  • Recommended Wording: "Birthday Accommodation Voucher | Raffle Winners NT$ 1,200".

4. Taiwan PASS Weekday Travel Discount

  • Discount Scheme: Taiwan PASS is a separate weekday travel promotion; it does not mean all travelers automatically receive NT$ 1,500.

  • Eligibility: Guests meeting specific Taiwan PASS package conditions and campaign criteria can obtain a NT$ 1,500 weekday accommodation discount voucher.

  • Terms: Applicable products, conditions, and stackability with other discounts are subject to the latest announcements on the official website.

5. Front Desk Operational Flow

Verify Guest Eligibility → Apply Direct Discount On-Site → System Registration → Submit Reimbursement

  • On-Site Discount: Hotel staff must process discounts at check-in/check-out based on the eligibility status shown in the official system.

  • Direct Deduction: Subsidies must be directly deducted on-site; refunding guests via bank transfer after stay completion is not recommended.

  • Registration Window: System registration must be completed between 12:00 PM on the check-in date and 12:00 PM on the next day; late submissions may forfeit eligibility.

6. Second Night Stay & Registration Guidelines

  • Consecutive Stay Requirement: The second-night bonus applies only to consecutive stays.

  • Usage Limits: Each guest and each subsidy type can only be used once per night.

  • No Duplicate Reductions: Multiple eligible guests staying in the same room cannot apply duplicate discounts for the same subsidy type.

  • Daily Registration Cap: The total daily registrations submitted by a property cannot exceed its legal registered room capacity.

7. Theme Park Stay Discount Reminders

  • No Direct Free Entry: Holding an accommodation invoice does not automatically grant free theme park entry.

  • Claiming Process: According to current rules, guests must first qualify for the Weekday Stay Incentive and complete hotel system registration, then claim theme park points/vouchers through the campaign mechanism to exchange for park tickets.

  • Restrictions: Guests using only the Birthday Voucher or Taiwan PASS Voucher without qualifying for the Weekday Stay Incentive may not be eligible for park points; refer to the latest rules on the campaign site.

8. Reimbursement Details Subject to Official Guidelines

  • Avoid Rigid Assumptions: Do not treat operational guidelines from past campaigns as absolute rules (e.g., rigid file size limits under 1MB, strict 7-day physical document submission deadlines to local governments, compulsory credit card refunds for prepaid bookings, or strict tax ID restriction rules).

  • Check Latest Manual: Specific reimbursement rules and system operations must strictly follow the latest official operator/reimbursement manual for this campaign to avoid errors.

9. Four Golden Rules for Hotel Staff

  • Check eligibility first before applying discounts.

  • Direct on-site deduction is the primary principle.

  • Strictly observe system registration time limits.

  • Always refer to the latest official manual for reimbursement specifics.
