Domestic Travel Subsidy Project Setup Guide | Setting a Special "No Advance Deposit" Refund Rule for Hotels

★ Reason for Setting 0% Deposit ★

Taiwan Travel Map does not currently have the qualifications to collect domestic travel subsidy funds on behalf of properties. If Taiwan Travel Map collects deposits in advance during booking, it may prevent the reservation from meeting the official domestic travel subsidy application rules.

Therefore, for Domestic Travel Subsidy projects, it is recommended to set Advance Deposit: 0%. Guests can then pay and apply the subsidy discount on-site upon arrival based on the hotel's on-site procedures.

Step-by-Step Setup Process

• Step 1 | Access "Refund Rule Settings" Log in to the hotel management backend and navigate to Refund Rule Settings to create a special rule dedicated to the domestic travel subsidy.

• Step 2 | Add a Special Rule Add a new rule under Special Rule Settings with the following recommended configurations:

  • Plan Name: Domestic Travel Subsidy Project

  • Advance Deposit: 0%

  • Start Date: 2026/09/01

  • End Date: 2026/12/31

  • Cancellation Rule: Leave blank / No setting

• Step 3 | Set the Applicable Period Enter 2026/09/01 – 2026/12/31 in the Applicable Range field and double-check the start and end dates displayed on the screen.

• Step 4 | Do Not Add Cancellation Charge Rules This special subsidy rule does not require any tiered cancellation rules. Leave the Cancellation Rule field blank or unconfigured.

• Step 5 | Select Applicable Room Types and Projects Go to Applicable Room Types and Project Settings. On the right side of the screen, select and check only the room types and projects eligible for the domestic travel subsidy (e.g., Room A, Room B, Domestic Travel Subsidy Package).

• Step 6 | Click "Add" and "Save" After selecting the room types and projects, click Add to apply the special rule, then click Save at the bottom of the page to finalize the configuration.

Checklist Before Completion

• Advance deposit set to 0%

• Applicable period set to 2026/09/01 – 2026/12/31

• No cancellation fee rules added

• Only eligible room types selected

• Correct domestic travel subsidy project selected

• Clicked Add

• Clicked Save

• The above setup applies only to properties collecting payments directly. If you are integrated with other platforms (e.g., EzHotel/Tsuan, SiteMinder), please ask guests using the domestic travel subsidy to avoid booking through the Taiwan Travel Map platform to prevent inventory anomalies.
